SALA Phuket Appoints Jon Ashenden as General Manager.

SALA Resorts and Spas has appointed Jon Ashenden as General Manager for SALA Phuket Resort and Spa, effective 11 January 2010.

Jon is Australian, and has a wealth of operational and food and beverage experience. He joins SALA from Anantara Resorts & Spas, where he was Resort Director at the Anantara Phuket Resort & Spa. He has also held the positions of Group Dir. of Technical Services andGroup Director of Food and Beverage for the Anantara Resorts & Spa's group.

Prior to that Jon has held a variety of senior food and beverage positions with Vinpearl Resort in Vietnam, Le Meridian in Port Villa, Vanuatu, and 10 years with Intercontinental Hotel Corporation in Australia and the South Pacific.
